Amazon Fire sticks and devices have become so affordable that it makes it easy to convert almost any older TVs into a smart device. This also gives us a chance to enhance it by adding the customization abilities of Kodi.
Below are several steps needed to make this possible. We have divided this up into three phases to simplify the process.
Phase 1 – Enable access for third party apps.
From the Home screen select the setting option in the top menu.

Within the settings menu select the Device icon ( Or My Fire TV)

In this sub menu scroll till you find ‘Developer Options’

In Developer Options select ‘Apps from Unknown Sources‘

Switch this option on by clicking ‘Turn On’
Phase 2 – Install Downloader App
From the main screen select the Search icon in the top left corner

From here we want to enter ‘DOWNLOADER’ and search

Once you have found the app, select the ‘Download‘ option and allow it to install.

Once complete, you will see the app icon in your main screen

Phase 3 – Installing Kodi
From the main screen, select the Downloader app. Go to Kodi’s official website by typing in http://www.kodi.tv/download in the URL section of the Downloader app and choose Kodi Android app from there.

Amazon Fire Stick runs on Android-based OS, therefore, you can sideload Android apps on it. Choose the Kodi Android app’s 32-bit version – ARMV7A (32BIT).

Once you’ve downloaded the Kodi app, install it by simply clicking on the ‘Install’ button.

That’s it. When you return to your main screen you will now find the Kodi icon in your menu.
